Variform

In keeping with our policy of being an innovative and proactive school, Sun Valley Primary launched its new variform in. The introduction of Variform was all about bridging the gap between maintaining our school's visual image and the learners' comfort. The development and implementation of Variform heralded in a new era of school clothing for the learners at our school. After a two year phase-in period, we are pleased to announce that Variform has been a huge success and that it is certainly here to stay.

 

The Formal Variform consists of:

• White golf shirt with embroidered badge

• Navy quantec shorts

• Plain white socks

• Plain white takkies

• Fleecy Top

 

The Everyday Variform consists of your combination of the following:

• Navy golf shirt

• Tracksuit

• Padded jacket

• Windbreaker

• Beanie

• Sun hat

• Sun cap

• White flip flops

• Barefoot

• White or navy crocs

• Navy scarf

 

 

Variform Rules:

• Every item must be marked.

• Items found will be handed in at reception.

• Items without a name are sold at our second-hand clothing store.

• Your Variform must be purchased from the SVPS Boutique.

Sports Variform

 

The Official Sports Variform consists of:

• Red Sports Shirt

• White Shorts

• Plain white socks

• Plain white sport shoes

• Sun Hat or Cap

 

Variations of the Sports Variform include:

 

• Tracksuit

• Navy shorts

 

 

Class swimming may require a spare pair of blue quantec shorts and/or a spare sports shirt to be worn over the official school costumes.

 

Official Wear: Sports Matches

 

Tennis, Netball, Soccer and Cross County: White shorts, red sports shirt, white socks and white takkies

Hockey: White shorts, red sports shirt, hockey socks and hockey boots

Cricket: White shorts, white school shirt, hockey socks and white takkies

Swimming: Navy and red SVPS costume, white cap

Jewellery Policy

Boys
No earrings, body studs, bangles, bracelets, necklaces, ankle bracelets or tattoos may be worn.

Girls
One single, non-decorative stud or sleeper in gold or silver is permitted.

No bangles, bracelets, ankle bracelets, necklaces or tattoos may be worn.

 

Hair Policy

Boys
Hair should be clean, neatly trimmed, off the ears, off the collar and not hanging in their eyes.

Colouring and shaving (less than a number 3) of hair is prohibited.

Girls
Hair should be clean and neatly styled. Hair that touches the collar should be tied up in white, red or navy hair accessories.

Hair that hangs in their eyes must be tied back with white, red or navy clips or an alice band.

Colouring and shaving of hair is prohibited.

 

Boutique
